Funeral services for Susan Harriet, 65 year old lifetime Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at her home in Buffalo on Monday, will be held Monday, March 14th at 10:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with Father Pete Johnson officiating. A vigil service will be held on Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. also at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to immediately follow the funeral. Donations in Susan’s memory should be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Susan Inez Harriet was born on November 15, 1956 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Jean and Ann Harriet. She grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1974. After high school she attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana where she played basketball for two years. After Rocky she went to San Diego, California where she did a semester at sea. She went to Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii for two years and returned to Rocky Mountain College where she received a B.A. in History in the early 1980’s. In 1985 she moved to Texas where she worked for a couple years and her son was born in Corpus Christi in 1986. In 1987 she moved back to Buffalo and became a real estate agent with the Grace Miller Agency. She started Johnson County Realty which she owned and operated until her death. In 1996 she met Lennart Lindberg in a chat room when he was living in Skelleftea, Sweden. In 1997 Lennart came to the U.S. to visit Susan. They were married on July 24, 1999 in Buffalo where they made their home.

Susan was an avid Buffalo Bison fan, also spending time coaching basketball, softball, soccer and teaching swim lessons to people of all ages since she was 15. She also coached the Sheridan swim team. She was a devoted Denver Broncos fan and had season tickets for years. She loved high school basketball and would go to the State Championships every year.

She is survived by her husband Lennart Lindberg of Buffalo; one son Kevin Harriet of Buffalo; three brothers Alex Harriet and his wife Tresea of Buffalo, Casey Harriet and his wife Rose of Buffalo, and Chris Harriet and his wife Crystal of Westminster, Colorado; one sister Honey Harriet of Buffalo, and two grandsons, Jack Roonie and John Patrick Harriet of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her parents.
