2021/09/26 - Boise, Idaho, AEB
Paquita was born in Boise, Idaho September 5, 1944 to Louis Aldecoa and Elisa Aberasturi who were first generation Basque Americans.
Paquita raised her family in the greater Seattle area and worked careers in the printing industry as well as for Alaska Airlines when she returned to her Boise roots in 1999.
Drawing her heart back to Boise was her close-knit Basque family that often-shared Sunday lunch;and holidays together. She felt at peace surrounded by her large family including her siblings, Diana Crisp (dec.), Miren Anton, Louis Aldecoa and Regina Gamboa and her father who was still with us at the time.
Paquita was a spunky, strong-willed, kind hearted woman who fiercely loved and protected her family.
Wherever Paquita was, she was quick to giggle, loved adventure and made everyone around her feel cared for and loved.
She volunteered countless hours at Sacred Heart St. Vincent DePaul where she was home visitor to those in need, worked for their food bank and she chaired the city-wide Thanksgiving Box Project for a couple of years, providing meals for 2,000 Boise families.
Paquita passed away with family members by her side on September 26, 2021. Her family would like to thank her devoted caregivers at Aspen Valley who shared their compassion and love with her.
She is survived by her four children: Debara Ferleman, Paquita Fagan, Stacey Sanford and Michael Barrett along with eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 at 11am at Sacred heart Catholic Cgurch (811 S, Latah Street, Boise, ID). 208 344 8311.
