"Dance has no age. If dance is about relating movement, space and time, it all depends on how we want to define them. Instead of following models about how dance should evolve, I prefer to create new paths that could assure dance a future and a longer life in our bodies. Dance reaches beyond the body and the body reaches beyond its physical conditions. It’s a question of transgressing limits, especially the ones in our minds. Let’s dare to do it!.“ Jone San Martin

Spanish chef Andoni Luis Aduriz spends a considerable amount of time outside the kitchenon eclectic projects that range from science to theatre. The 45-year-old is head chef at Mugaritz, a two-Michelin-starred contemporary fine-dining restaurant in Spain's Basque Country. Some of his boundary-pushing projects include preparing dinners for stagings of William Shakespeare's tragic play Titus Andronicus and researching the link between science and cooking, which has spun off into a clothing line inspired by dishes from his restaurant.

A devilishly fun street parade on Thursday night marked the start of artistic director Jonathan Holloway’s first Melbourne Festival. A group of Basque street performers called Deabru Beltzak took a crowd of festivalgoers on a ragged march from Federation Square and into the city’s narrow laneways, led by a giant goat’s head — like a horned devil — and accompanied by pounding drums and occasional flares of smoke and fireworks. The scene at times resembled a witches sabbath from a Goya painting.
