Sabine “Sabina” Ospital falleció el 18 de junio de 2023. Le sobreviven su hijo Daniel y familia. Le precedió en la muerte su esposo, Jean Pierre.
Los servicios funerarios serán los siguientes: viernes, 7 de julio de 2023, en la Iglesia Católica de St Peter en Lemoore, CA. Velorio a las 9:00 am, Rosario a las 9:30 am y misa funeral a las 10:00 am. Le seguirá una Recepción en el I.D.E.S. Portuguese Hall en Stratford, CA.

God called Sabine Inchauspe Ospital of Stratford, CA, home on June 18, 2023 surrounded by her family at the age of 91. Sabine was born April 16, 1932 in Ascarat, France, to Jean & Jeanne Inchauspe, and was the youngest sibling of five. Sabine grew up attending school in Ascarat, France. She also attended culinary school in France, where she was taught her many cooking and baking skills. Sabine worked as a waitress in France and the famous Irigaray Restaurant in Stratford. She also worked at Ed's Drive-in along Highway 41 in Stratford and was an assistant cook and retired as head cook at Stratford Elementary School Cafeteria.
Sabine married Jean Pierre Ospital on July 3, 1961 in St. Jean Pied de Port, France and soon moved to Mendota, CA. They were blessed with their only son Daniel in 1962. They moved to Stratford in 1968 and remained there until Sabine moved to Lemoore in 2015 with her son and daughter-in-law. Sabine resided at Diamond Terrace in Hanford the past three years.
Sabine was a faithful and supporting parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford and St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lemoore. She was a true believer showing it by her loyalty, kindness, and love of God, family and friends. She was a loving mother and 'Atchie' to her grandchildren and great-grandsons. She took pride in her Basque heritage by attending the yearly Basque Picnic's in Fresno and Los Banos. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Altar Society, Fresno Basque Club, and Stratford IDES.
Sabine enjoyed vacationing at Huntington Lake, Pismo Beach and France, playing cards, sewing, cooking, and making desserts for family dinners on Sunday evenings.
Sabine was preceded in death by her parents Jean & Jeanne Inchauspe, her husband Jean Pierre Ospital, two brothers and sister-in-law, Dominique (Jeannette) Inchauspe, Dominiche Inchauspe, two sisters and brother-in-law, Anne Marie (Pierre) Diharce, Helene Inchauspe, and two brother/sister-in-laws, Pete (Felicia) Ospital (formerly from Hanford) and Gracianne Ospital all from France.
She is survived by son Daniel (Cheri) Ospital, grandchildren Janette (Aaron) Martin, Christopher (fiance Justine Goforth) Ospital, great grandsons Preston Martin and Mason Martin all of Lemoore. Brother-in-law Jean-Baptiste Ospital, nieces Janine Blain-Diharce, Gisele Inchauspe, Liz Ospital, Josiane Gastellou and nephews Jean-Pierre Inchauspe, Jean-not Ospital, and Jean-Pierre Ospital all of France.

Visitation will be held at Saint Peter's Catholic Church, 870 North Lemoore Avenue, Lemoore on Friday, July 7th at 9:00 am, recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 am, Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, followed by Christian Burial at Lemoore Cemetery, 1441 North Lemoore Avenue, Lemoore. Arrangements are under direction of Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel.
