Larry Richard Larrucea, 73, passed on August 1, 2021 surrounded by family in Grants Pass, OR.
Larry had many hobbies, he had a large vegetable garden, enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren everywhere from Burney Creek to the banks of the Rogue River and most of all he loved playing poker and cribbage against his youngest daughter.
His Spanish-Basque heritage instilled in him a strength unlike any other. His wild ride of a life led him to be known for many different things; rodeo cowboy and contractor were some of the best. He wore a badge of pride when talking about his family and always made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
His smile was infectious and he had a heart of gold.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents Bonifacio and Helen Larrucea. He is survived by his son Creed, daughters, Kali and Jessica and their mother Kara. His brother Lyle, nephew and niece Lorenzo and Jamie. He was a joyous and loving Aitxitxe to Kai, Amare, Cadence and Easton whom he adored more than anything. He will forever be greatly missed.
Celebration of life will be held at the Cottonwood Community Center on Friday, September 24th at 4:00 pm.
