16/10/2023 - Winnemucca, Nevada, EEUU

(publicado en Sonoma Funeral Home)

Francisca “Francey” Inda Ochoa, 73, of Winnemucca, NV passed away on October 16, 2023 with her daughters and granddaughter by her side

Francey was born on August 12, 1950 in Roseburg, Oregon to Isidoro and Mary “Grino” Inda. The Inda family moved from Bandon, Oregon to the Upper Clover Ranch in 1962, then to Winnemucca in 1965, which became her home

Francey met Francisco “Frank” Ochoa shortly after the Inda family moved to the Upper Clover Ranch. She quickly fell in love with the handsome ranch hand that came to work for them and knew that she would one day be married to him. Frank followed the Inda family to Winnemucca in 1965 and he and Francey were married on September 24, 1966. They were blessed with 3 daughters, Nancy, Alicia and Sylvia

Francey spent her life as a homemaker and owner of Basque Janitorial. Francey was a hard worker and was always busy. She loved spending time at home with family and friends. Family gatherings were always at the Ochoa home as Francey was an amazing cook and hostess and she loved being surrounded by her family. She had many names, Francey, Franny, Mom, Amuma and Tia and at times “Stubborn Basco”. Her most cherished name was Amuma as she adored her grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. Those that knew her also know the special bond that she had with her firstborn grandchild, Brycen, whom she called “TxoTxo”

Francey was very proud of her Basque Heritage and she passed that pride on to her girls and grandchildren. She loved watching her nieces and grandchildren dance in the yearly Basque Festivals, never missing a performance

Francey was preceded in death by her parents, Isidoro and Mary Inda; husband, Frank Ochoa; daughter, Sylvia Ochoa; brother, James “Jimmy” Inda; and sister, Debbie Chaffin. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Michael) Jurad; Alicia (Brian) Prokasky; grandchildren, Brycen Prokasky, Sylvie Prokasky and Talia Jurad; nieces, Christie (Jason) Sauer, Ashley Chaffin; Amanda (Matt Hilbish) Chaffin; Nikki (Seth) Anderson; cousins Claudia (Ron) Edmonds and Steve (Carla) Inda; and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews in Oregon, California, Spain and Mexico

Francey’s wishes of no services will be honored by her family. A Celebration of Francey’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at The Martin Hotel. Please join us at anytime between 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. to reminisce and share stories of Francey. She will be dearly missed by many and will be forever remembered.

A very special thank you to the staff at Humboldt General Hospital, especially Dr. Stirling, Dr. Parry and her nurses Elizabeth, Victoria, Brittany and Allie for their compassion and exceptional care until her passing.

Thank you Mom, for everything you taught us and always being there for us. You may be gone, but the love and memory of you will never pass away. You will forever be remembered and so very loved. You take it from here, Sylvia.

Gogoan Bego (GB) - May she Rest in Peace
