Auguste Indart, 83 passed away July 23, 2024 at his home in South San Francisco, CA surrounded by his family.

Auguste was born December 31,1940 in Osses, France to Jean and Marie Therese (Guiroy) Indart. He immigrated to the United States in 1963 arriving in San Francisco, CA where he worked in the produce market with his brother Jean Pierre. He later started and operated his own landscaping business for the next 32 years until he retired and passed it on to his son David. A proud founding member of the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco, CA where he served on the Board of Directors, played pelota, mus and sang in the choir, eventually watching his children and grandchildren embrace his culture.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Indart and Marie Therese Indart (Guiroy); his siblings, Antoinette, Jean Pierre and Gracie; his brother-in-law Batita; and his nephew John.

He is survived by: his wife Elda; his sons, Michael (Sandra) and David; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Stefan; his siblings, Cattaline and Isidore (Annick); his sisters-in-law, Josette and Louise; and his nieces and nephews, Etienne (Odile), Anna Marie (Jean Marie), Jean Pierre (Anna Marie), Terexa (Jef), Agnes (Paul), Cattaline (Raymond), Guillaume and Sandrine (Cédric).

Visitation was held on Monday, July 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Duggan's Serra Mortuary (500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, CA 94014). A rosary was held on Monday, July 29th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (459 Somerset St, San Francisco, CA 94134). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 30th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (1500 Old Mission Rd, Colma, CA 94014).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Brain Injury Association of America or your charity of choice.
