The Kern County Basque Club Klika was formed in 1975 by Henri Duhart and his brother-in-law Bernard Arduain. The 1975 picnic program also listed Jean Arrayet as co-captain and Klika organizer. Traditionally it used to be a "men activity", but fortunatelly that has changed and the Bakersfield Basques are proud to incorporate many women, among them Michelle Iturriria as a player, organizer and one of their most active klika members.
