Donostia-San Sebastián. The invitation to participate in the contest launched by Zinea.eus is also directed to the Diaspora. According to organizers, the contest aims to fil the void that currently exists: “We see that many festivals award completed films, but there are few that recognize creators in their first steps.” This is why they created the 1st Short Film Script Contest, besides awarding the winner 800 Euros, they also propose accompanying him/her in other aspects linked to the first steps of film production, like improving the text, contacting producers or securing financing, to name a few.
The contest is aimed at adults between the ages of 18-30, and it is free-themed with the condition that they be original scripts, no longer than 20 pages. The text should be in Basque, and in the case of being named the winner, the author will also commit to filming it in that language..
The winning script will be chosen by specialists in the area. Deadline to submit works is June 30th to info@zinea.eus. Contest results will be published on Zinea.eus in July. Complete contest rules here.
