Donostia-San Sebastian. Mystery, crimes and the beautiful surroundings of the Baztan Valley are the ingredients of these three novels with which writer Dolores Redondo makes her debut into the world of literature, along with breaking records. Her career began in 2013 with The Invisible Guardian, followed by, in the same year, with The Legacy of the Bones and culminated in 2014 with Storm Offering taking inspector, Amaia Salazar, to a place in the universe of the black novel.
Next week the writer will begin an international tour that will take her to four countries: Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Australia. The first event will be on Tuesday, July 28, in Mexico City where the author will present her trilogy in collaboration with the Morbid Festival, one of the most important gatherings for horror, crime and mystery in Latin America. Her talk, entitled, “Designing a Crime Scene,” will take place at the Center for Digital Culture, and will be a dialogue between her and Alberto Coria, expert in forensic art at 6pm.
The next day, July 29, Dolores Redondo will leave for Colombia, where she will stay until August 3. During her stay she will give a talk on July 30 at the Wilborada Bookstore where she will converse with writer Miguel Angel Manrique (6:30pm)
The next part of the trip will be in Argentina, where Redondo will participate in the BAM! Buenos Aires Negra, crime novel festival in the Argentine capital. On Thursday August 6 she will give a talk entitled, “From Real Crime to a Novel” (8pm) and then on August 8, the talk “Ainara, a Satanic Crime” (8:30pm). More information on the festival here.
Finally, the author will return home and a few days later, on August 18, she will leave for Australia. During her stay there, Redondo will participate in the Melbourne Festival, August 20-24, and later will visit Canberra and Sydney. In Canberra she will give a talk on August 25 at the National University of Australia (4pm). To conclude, on August 26 she will give her last talk at the Cervantes Institute in Sydney (at 6pm).
