Berlin, Germany. "Himmelstausch" ("Zeru-trukaketa" or "sky exchange") is the name of the project that in its first phase will develop in Berlin for just over 10 days, on the day of the 82nd Anniversary of the Bombing of Gernika. Thanks to artist Mickael Klant, and with the collaborationof the Euskal Etxea of Berlin, the idea of traveling through the skies in the German Capital with a banner with a painting of the sky over Gernika, that will later, in September do the same in Gernika with Berlin’s sky. This will be possible with the help of the Lobak Association, that includes grandchildren of people from Gernika who suffered in the bombing.
However, the best is seeing how the activity developed on April 26th through this video. The airplane, Robin 400 left the Berlin-Gatow Air Base, that is now closed to traffic, but in the times of the national-socialist boom was very active to take the banner over the most emblematic places in the German capital and then return to the airport. Zorionak to everyone who made this artistic initiative possible!
