Buenos Aires, Argentina. Uxue Barkos began her first official visit to Argentina yesterday that includes two specific objectives: to meet with businessmen and economic agencies, especially in the area of renewable energies, and get to know the local Navarrese people and institutions. The delegation accompanying her comprised of the Minister of Institutional Relations, Ana Ollo, the General Director of Economic Business and Labor Policy, Izaskun Goñi, the Director of her Cabinet, Ainhoa Gastearena, and Javier Felix Carmona, Director of the Service of the Institutional Projection visited the Centro Navarro where there was a reception in their honor.

Following her visit of the club’s facilities, club president, Silvia Primo, welcomed the representatives of the Navarrese Government. Barkos then thanked everyone for the welcome and stressed the importance of having a Navarran club in their land. After a gift exchange, the txikis and adult dancers performed. The show concluded with a Tango demonstration.

On her first day in the capital city, the delegation also toured the Memoria Park. Beginning tomorrow, the delegation will participate in the Meeting of Navarrese Clubs of Argentina that will run through Sunday in Rosario.
