Even if the camp takes place in January, it is always nice to have a good selection of pictures on hand to remember the moments, places and friends. And above all to begin to plan the 2017 edition of the Argentinean Basque Summer Camp. EuskalKultura.com is sharing with its readers a photo gallery of last January's Udaleku organized by the Zingirako Euskaldunak in Chascomus: it is all worth it!
Chascomus, Argentina. The summer camp, or Udaleku in Argentina took place this year on January 5-9 in Chascomus, in the province of Buenos Aires. Organized and financed exclusively by the Zingirako Euskaldunak Basque club, the camp gathered some 20 boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 16, members of Basque clubs in Cañuelas, Maipú and the local Basque club.
Over the five days, camp instructors invited participants, through various activities, to submerge themselves in the culture of Euskal Herria. Dancing, games, sports, gastronomy, Euskera….each activity allowed the youth to get a little bit better acquainted with the Basque culture.
The Zingirako Euskaldunak Basque club was once again very satisfied with how it went, and as every year, this encourages them to begin planning next year’s. Images of Udaleku are very eloquent and remind us that it is a very good idea for January 2017 as well.
