Elko, NV, USA. Udaleku 2014 has passed the half-way point and continues in full swing, taking full advantage of the time with the children so that they may learn, enjoy and share this unique experience that leaves an unforgettable memory linked to their Basque identity for many Basque-Americans. One of these is Teresa Franzoia, from Elko, who has attended various udalekus as a camper, and who is debuting this year as camp director.
Camp atmosphere is wonderful as can be seen in some of the images published by organizers on the Udaleku 2014 Facebook page. It is an open page where hundreds of photos can be seen chronicling daily activities.

Everything that has been learned over the two weeks will be shown at their final performance on Friday July 4th. This isn’t the end of the festivities however, since it also marks the kick-off of this year’s Elko Basque Festival. “Let the party begin!”
