Tres Arroyos, Argentina. In the city of Tres Arroyos, in the province of Buenos Aires, descendants of Francisco Goicoechea and Catalina Quillehauquy, both born in the Basque Country, were honored a century since their arrival to the city. The ceremony was held on November 18th in the Basque Plaza, where family members and representatives of the Basque community unveiled a plaque. The event began with the raising of the flags and continues with words of gratitude by Carlos Goicoechea.
The Hiru Erreka Basque Club, along with its dantzaris, also took part dancing an Aurresku to the honorees as well as a fandango. Attendees were also asked to join in the dancing.
