Buenos Aires, Argentina. During this time of confinement, due to the Coronavirus, a pioneering and interesting initiative in Argentina as the Traveling Basque Film program led by Carlos Gabilondo is celebrating its first decade of life. Not only is it being celebrated, but it is being done so with twice the enthusiasm continuing the work of sharing film from Euskal Herria and presenting it with a new logo created for the occasion by a personal friend and collaborator with the project, Esteban Pecoitz.
The schedule for virtual gatherings for this month follows:
-Friday May 15th, 20h: with Euskaltzaleak in Buenos Aires, short film Tercero B (3B) (2002) by José Mari Goenaga, included in the Kimuak collection.
-Saturday May 23rd, 19hs: with Askatasunaren Bidea in San Miguel, shortfilm La primera vez (The First Time) (2001) by Borja Cobeaga, also from Kimuak.
-Friday May 29th, 20hs: with Itxaropen in Saladillo, short film El Gran Zambini (The Great Zambini) (2005) by Igor Legarreta, from Kimuak.
These short films are available on You Tube and can be watched before the event. Later on, on the day and time indicated on the Traveling Basque Film Facebook page, Carlos Gabilondo will provide an analysis and exchange with participants.
