As every year at this time, Topagunea is preparing another edition of Laburbira, putting together another list of Basque short films produced in Basque and organizing screenings in the Basque Country as well as in the Diaspora. Two requests are going out, the first for those who have produced a short film in Euskera so that their title can be included, and another one to the Basque clubs who would like to participate in this year’s screenings.
Donostia-San Sebastian. The entity behind the initiative, Euskaltzaleen Topagunea, is making progress on Laburbira 2017 and note that, “even though we create a new list of titles every year, we also put out a call so that those who may have made a short film in Basque can get in touch with us, so it can also be included,” Leire Lardizabal from Topagunea explains.
If any Basque club would also like to be included in the list of places where these films will be screened, please contact the organization. In prior editions films were shown in Basque clubs in London, New York, Valencia, Paris, Madrid and Rome.
For those who have produced a film, please contact Laburbira before December 15th via email: leire@topagunea.org. “We will also have a first selection among the films received first to determine which will be part of the circuit,” Lardizabal said.
Basque clubs that would like to be part of the program, should also email Leire.
