Today is the second day at the 34th Cultural and Writers’ Fair in Sara with EuskalKultura.com’s stand at the local Sports Pavillion. The Sarako Idazleen Biltzarra is the main event for writers and literary creators, as well as for material in relation to the Basque culture in Iparralde. This is a meeting point for the euskaltzale audience with authors and the annual production of books, records, and cultural material in this part of the country. If you get a chance, visit Sara and make sure to come to our booth and say hi.
Sara, Lapurdi. This is the 34th edition of the fair and as such organizers decided to add one more day, Easter Monday, to the event that used to only be held on Easter Sunday. This year the Fair includes 25 new books, along with several other volumes, records and material from a vast array of disciplines, with writers, publishers, groups and the most important institutions in Iparralde represented.
EuskalKultura.com will represent the Diaspora at the fair with a stand that includes a panel of photos and videos from the various Basque communities and Basque clubs in the world. Books and various materials about them, posters and information about the two main gatherings in the Diaspora this year (July 21-24 in Buffalo, Wyoming for NABO’s Convention in the US; and Semana Vasca in San Nicolas in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina November 10-12).
