Caracas, Venezuela. The Basque club in the Venezuelan capital is immersed in working to revitalize the entity and offer its members and friends new proposals that will boost and enrich its activity. Among the new activities, is a literary gathering this Saturday that hopes to analyze, comment and debate about Basque literary works, or those related to the Basques. The event is at the club’s library and begins at 5pm.
The work chosen to analyze is Elkarrekin esnatzeko ordua (Time to Wake Up Together), by Kirmen Uribe, originally published in 2016, and translated into languages like Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan and Galician. The novel is related to Venezuela and its Basque community since the small Venezuelan Euskadi is one of the environments in which the action of the work takes place, reflecting the Venezuelan Basque Diaspora.
The gathering, on Saturday, will be moderated by Julen Azpiritxaga Zubizarreta.
