Boise, Idaho, USA. The Downtown Boise Association wishes to energize the activity and atmosphere of Historic Downtown Boise by hosting a special themed event on the first Thursday of each month. This Thursday is the furst Thursday in July and it is the Basque culture's turn, and Downtown Boise, in conjunction with the Basque Museum & Cultural Center and artists and local businesses have organized an evening full of attractive proposals for your enjoyment.
The events generally take place from 5pm-9pm however, each business, booth owner and artist creatively plans their own event, so the list of events, stories and venues can be consulted on the Downtown Boise website that includes a list of participants, schedules and details of each one. By visiting the website, everyone can design their itinerary through downtown Boise in advance to plan their night according to their preferences. \
This Thursday there will be a pelota exhibition at the Anduiza Fronton and Basque dance performed by the Oinkaris, among other performances. There will be no shortage of live music, DJs and games in the street. Art galleries also invite you to visit their exhibits. This is the case of Gallery 601 that will donate 20% of its proceeds to the Basque Museum, joining in on its 40th anniversary celebration.
There will also be food: tastings and promotions of typical dishes including cider, kalimotxo, and special menus. Make sure you visit the Leku Ona, Bar Gernika, The Basque Market, The Basque Museum or the Basque Center itself.
