This Sunday, Lagunt eta Maita, Pau’s Euskal Etxea will hold its annual festival. It will be the first during the tenure of the newly elected president, Michel Lagan, after five years of work by outgoing president, Frantxua Challet. The festivities will begin on Sunday with mass celebrated by Aita Landart, followed by an aperitif and lunch.
Pau, France. In accordance with the last Board of Directors of Lagunt eta Maita, and in accordance to the General Assembly held on Mach 23rd, there have been various changes in the team that coordinates the club’s activities with Michel Lagan taking over for Frantxua Challet who will now become one of the two vice-presidents with Jean Marc Olharan.
Lagunt eta Maita takes advantage of this occasion to sincerely thank Frantxua Challet for his work, dedication and effort during the five years of his tenure at Lagunt eta Maita. The new president, Michel Lagan, is the entity’s fifth president. Best wishes to him also in his new venture.
Basques in Pau will celebrate their Big Annual Festival this Sunday, April 22nd.
Anyone wishing to join in, the festivities will begin at 10am with mass celebrated by Aita Landart at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in Pau with the participation of the Basque choir.
Afterwards, at about 12:30, there will be an aperitif (zintzur bustitzea) followed by lunch at the Gelos Hall behind City Hall.
