Donostia-San Sebastián. Since December 3rd there have been several events and celebrations organized by Basque clubs and universities around the world to celebrate the International Day of Euskera. In some places, Basque students along with their teachers were the stars of the event, and the goal was to practice the language, show what they have learned, and share their experiences as Euskaldunes (Basque speakers). In others, events were organized with those who have yet to begin learning the language in mind, to attract them to the “marvelous world,” of the Basque language.
