Vitoria-Gasteiz. The 2011 edition of the Gaztemundu program, yearly organized by the Basque Government, began last Monday in Gasteiz. During their first two days, participants visited Gasteiz and Bilbao, and on Wednesday sessions started with workshops on managing Basque entities and clubs. Each participant had to prepare a project, as part of the selection process that outlined a better way to run his /her club or entity. During their stay they will study various methods and strategies and means to carry out those projects.
The courses last until noon on Saturday, with morning and afternoon sessions. Topics addressed include: Basque in the Basque centers, human and financial resource management, document management, transmission of Basque culture in the world, Euskadi in the 21st century, the management of socio-cultural activities and communication 2:0.
On Saturday afternoon the group will travel to Donostia where they will meet with the participants of the 5th World Congress of Basque Collectivities that will also start arriving on that day. This conference will take place at the Kursaal from November 2-5th, and the youth will attend those sessions as well as the Euskal Herria Mugaz Gaindi seminar.
