Buenos Aires, Argentina. Liberoamerica is a new Ibero-American Publisher, “horizontal and self-managed,” funded by Argentineans Cecilia Resiale and Lucía Bima and Dario Zalgade from Canarias. The book debut of the new business was 80 Contemporary Poets, an anthology of feminist poetry that was presented and received enthusiastically last June in Argentina and Uruguay.
Now, and in hopes of repeating the process in Spain, the Publisher is looking for support to do a second edition that would expand the first. The work will gather some 120 authors from all over Latin America, Portugal, Spain, Galicia, Euskal Herria and Catalonia, and will include poems in Spanish (inlcuidng by Izaskun Gracia Quintana from Bilbao), Galician, Catalan, Portuguese, and also in Euskera. The authors writing in Basque are Leire Alonso Allué (Burlata, Navarre, 1994), Iosune de Goñi García (Burlata, Navarre, 1993), Irati Majuelo Itoiz (Iruña, Navarre, 1993) and Ane Zubeldia (Hondarribia, Gipuzkoa, 1994).
To move the publication ahead, the Publisher has launched a crowd founding campaign that will benefit contributors with various gifts. To contribute, all you have to do is click on this link and get to know more about the project and who is involved then click on “back it.” Deadline to do so is September 17th.
