Buenos Aires, Argentina. Yesterday, the Federation of Basque-Argentine Entities FEVA launched a video to announce the beginning of the Euskara Munduan Winter Barnetegi, supported by the Etxepare Basque Institute and organized in Argentina by the federation. The announcement wasn’t casual; and in this way, FEVA begins a new step of virtual proposals that once the quarantine is over, will allow Argentina to “shorten distances,” and guarantee the participation of a greater number of Basque clubs in its events.
The Barnetegi includes four irakasles (teachers): from Argentina, Cecilia Canz (Euskaltzaleak, Buenos Aires), Inés Olazábal (Gure Etxea, Tandil) and Lautaro Pincheira (Denak Bat, Mendoza); and from Uruguay, Andrea Bella (FIVU, Uruguay). The event will gather 32 participants from Basque clubs in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay, coordinated by Gabriela Mendia representing FEVA and Kinku Zinkunegi, from the Etxepare Institute.
