José C. Paz, Argentina. The local Basque club announced good news to close 2019. After the excellent reception of the book Euskaldunak and Sprouts in Toki Eder, by Maria del Pilar Uribeondo y Ruiz, the Basque club has taken another step and will present its second book this Saturday. Under the coordination of Uribeondo, who served as the compiler, Our Identity gathers the texts from the “Euskal Herria Lives in Me” contest organized by the club at the beginning of the year.
From Toki Eder, María Ángeles Oñederra explained to EuskalKultura.eus that the publication includes “stories, tails and accounts in which the deep sense of identity that nests in the hearts of their authors, through paths that surprise by the creative ability to express that “Euskal Herria Lives in Me’ emerges.” Twenty-seven contest participants, 3 youth and 24 adults, submitted texts.
The book presentation of Our Identity will take place this Saturday at 4pm at the Toki Eder clubhouse, José C. Paz 2120. The authors will attend along with compiler, María del Pilar Uribeondo y Ruiz.
