Corpus Christi, Argentina. The seventh edition of the St. Ignatius Feast of Basque, Argentine and Guarani Cultures has been confirmed for its usual weekend in July. Even if the last touches of the festival program are yet to be made, club president, Olga Leiciaga confirmed tha the event will begin this year on Saturday the 28th at 10:30am with the award ceremony for the Literary Contest. The ceremony will take place in the Guillermo Larregui reading room at the club’s “Atahualpa Yupanqui” library. In Leiciaga’s words, “this festival is very important to us since it coincides with the feast of our patron saint, Saint Ignatius, and San Ignacio, the capital city of the department that Corpus Christi belongs to.”
In regards to the rest of the program, the club’s board of directors hopes to invite Cesar Arrondo to do a talk and to screen documentaries such as “The Magic Look,” and “Looking for Agirre,” as part of FEVA’s cultural offerings.
There will also be lunch, as every year.
