Alta Gracia, Argentina. The Euzko Etxea Basque Club in Villa Maria was in charge of the Basque music and dance performances, on the first day of the Festival of Collectivities. Twenty members of the club walked as one of the more of 40 participating delegations that marched in front of authorities and organizers, carrying flags and banners describing each institution.
After the parade, and the opening ceremonies, Basque representatives took to the stage, close to midnight, to play the “San Sebastian March,” that was also danced by four dantzaris. The Basque event concluded with “Diana,” “Arin Arin,” and “Kalejira.”
Euzko Etxea was very satisfied with the event and hopes to continue participating in these kinds of festivals, in Villa Maria, as well as in other cities in the province, and country.
