The chain of Basque restaurants, Sagardi, continues to expand with upcoming opening sin Mexico City and London. In both places, the company is currently completing its staff, in hopes of having ready for their respective openings. From Mexico, a job offer has come to us for the position of Maître’ D. Donostia-San Sebastian. The Sagardi group will open another one of its restaurants soon in Mexico. The chain has published the announcement looking for a Maître’ D. The job is describes as: “Floor Manager/Sommelier,” and is aimed for its new openings in Colonia Polanco, Mexico City and will have the following functions:
-Plan, organize control and manage all the tables in the restaurant
-Distribute the tasks among the wait staff
-Advise the customers on both food and beverage
-Seat the diners
Minimum requirements:
-Specific training in hotel and catering
-Specific training as a sommelier
-Minimum experience of at least a year as floor manager
-Fluent in English and Spanish
-Flexible schedule in order to work split shifts
Profile:
Very vocational Service profile, communicative and responsive to Customer needs. You must be used to solving simple situations in managing the staff. Professional managerial experience at a la carte restaurants and VIP Service. Excellent presence.
