Mexico City, Mexico. Euskalerriaren Adiskideen Elkartea, the Basque Society of the Friends of the Country (RSBAP) in Mexico and the José María Basagoiti Noriega Historical Archive at the College of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Vizcaínas in the Mexican capital have convened the Third International Congress on the Basque-Navarrese presence in Mexico and Central America, XVI-XXI centuries that will take place on November 9th at the College of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Vizcaínas in Mexico City.
Under the name, International Congress "From the Meeting of Two Worlds to the Process of New Spain's Independence," participants will examine questions referring to the following thematic groups:
• The Fine Arts, a Vast Horizon of Cultural Syncretism.
• Between Writings and Stews, Literature and Gastronomy in the Scene of New Spain.
• Education in New Spain and the Imprint of the College of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
• Figures of Basque-Navarrese Origin in the Process of independence of New Spain.
