Rosario, Argentina. The Zazpirak Bat Basque Club in Rosario took another step forward and will participate in the 36th edition of the local Festival of Communities. This year, due to the pandemic it will have a special focus on gastronomy. With the main event being food sales with each institution will carry out at their headquarters, as well as providing home delivery through the virtual showcase. The Zazpi will provide dishes and Txapela cider tonight and tomorrow, Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th. The virtual showcase can be found here.
Gastronomy will be the main activity but not the only one. As part of the event, the Zazpirak Bat Basque Club chose dantzaris Maria Eugenia Iribarren and Leandro Bilbao to provide cultural contents. To date they have prepared three videos: the first with the word respect in Basque – listening to the word in various languages, another video with Arin Arin, and another showing typical costumes.
In another vein, the club president, Cristina Arregui, told EuskalKultura.eus that they will resume their Basque Film Series online soon, and their literary workshop that will be taught at the Basque club on Entre Rios Street.
