The Euskaldunak Quebec Association is 20 years old and its members have organized a huge celebration to mark the date. The events will begin on August 26 with an exhibit on the history of the entity, and will continue throughout the weekend with a pintxo contest, herri kirolak exhibitions, traineras…here is the program.
Montreal, Quebec. The Euskaldunak Association in Quebec is getting ready to celebrate its 20th anniversary in style with a huge celebration that will run from August 26-28.
The Quebecois will begin celebrating on Friday the 26th with the inauguration of a photo exhibit on the 20 years of life of the club. The exhibit will be on display at Euskaldunak’s clubhouse.
On Saturday August 27, the activities will move to the Bellerive Park. There at 11am there will be a pintxo contest. Participants can compete individually or in teams. At noon, attendees will share a meal outdoors, followed by herri kirolak, Basque sports. At 5pm a music show will begin, followed by a concert by the group Xutik at 9pm at the Brasserie Beaubien (73, Rue Beaubien Est).
On Sunday, August 28th the activities will continue outdoors, taking full advantage of the good weather at this time in Quebec. The events will begin at 1pm with a potluck picnic. After the meal, anyone wishing to get into the trainera, gifted to the club by the Indianoak Expedition, can row in the San Lorenzo River.
