Donostia-San Sebastián. The 16th edition of the book fair begins on Thursday and will run through Sunday. Journalist and writer Garbiñe Ubeda was invited to participate in a round table that will take place on Saturday, May 11th at 3pm about literature in minority languages and language diversity in Europe. The session will be directed by writer Minos Efstathiadis, and journalist Nikos Kourmolis. The book fair gathers hundreds of writers, translators and literary agents, journalists, book vendors and institutions annually.
Garbiñe Ubeda (Tolosa, 1967) is the President of the EIE (Euskal Idazleen Elkartea, Basque Writer's Association) since March of last year. Since a young age she has worked in various media, and above all in Euskera in both graphic and written work. In recent years, she has focused on the latter seeking a hybrid between journalism and literature. She has authored four books, the lasts being Sasieskola (Elkar, 2018), a novel that is part of a trilogy.
