Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Official Bulletin of the Basque Country (BOPV-EHAA) published today the Resolution dated March 3, 2021 from the Secretary General of Foreign Action “opening the call for applications for grants to Basque clubs to take care of the needs and assist members in situations of dire need of those in the Basque community abroad for 2021.” The budget this year is 202,000 Euros, the same as in previous years.
Applicants need to prove their membership in the Basque community and their residence abroad; as well as the lack of assets or income that prohibits them from taking care of their needs, or their status of dire need. They should live in private homes, without being part of a group, community or entity that should legally be taking care of their needs.
Applications should be submitted by the Basque club, so interested persons should contact the club closest to them as soon as possible. More information is available from the closest Delegation of Euskadi or from The Directorate of the Basque Community Abroad (euskaletxeak@euskadi.eus).
