Necochea, Argentina. On April 15th, the Euzko Etxea in Necochea will celebrate 75 years. In this context of social isolation that we are in due to the Coronavirus, the Basque club could not carry out its planned program that included artistic and sporting events along with a huge gathering and dinner event, but not wanting the date to pass unnoticed, they began a wonderful initiative yesterday.
The new proposal to celebrate consists of a journey through the history of the institution through social media. Through the 15th photos, articles, and various types of registers will be uploaded to both Facebook and Instagram that “remind of, in one way or another, how our Basque house was born,” according to club president, Kiti Zubillaga.
Zubillaga added “currently, there are only three positive cases in the city that are under control; our Basque club community is in good health but we are absolutely respecting the quarantine. This is why we hope to gather and celebrated together once the situation gets back to normal,” she said.
The Euskal Etxea has been closed since the order to isolate began, and so all of its activities have been cancelled.
