An intimate concert was provided last Sunday afternoon at the Gure Txoko Basque club in Valladolid by the Basque musical group Napoka Iria. The performance was a courtesy of Napoka Iria musicians Miren Narbaiza and Ander Mujika who had the opportunity to share an interesting day with club members and friends. The audience warmly applauded the great job done by the group from Gipuzkoa.
Vallodolid, Spain. As part of the performances in the Basque Country, and elsewhere, of Napoka Iria [it's composed of Miren Narbaiza from Eibar who plays guitar and sings and Ander Mujika from Elgoibar who plays the electric and steel guitars], the sounds of this Basque folk-rock duo could be heard at the Gure Txoko Basque club in Valladolid. They first shared a meal at the clubhouse that gathered several members and was followed by an intimate concert that caused great excitement in and around the club, filling it to capacity with 50 people.
Napoka Iria played songs from their first album as well as from their last entitled, “Arnasten ikasteko berriz” (learning to breathe again). They received great applause and the comments accessed by EuskalKultura.com from both the audience and the band members were that everyone enjoyed the evening. Board members and club members hosted and showed the invited couple around the city. From Gure Txoko this was qualified as a resounding success.
