Mendoza, Argentina. The pandemic started 6 months ago, and the Coronavirus is far from being water under the bridge. Fortunately, we still get good news that motivates us and uplifts us as the world continues forward. Today, the Denak Bat Basque Club in Mendoza announces the inauguration of its YouTube channel and does so in a fun way hoping to celebrate the main Navarrese festival, but also of course, providing visibility and diffusion of the channel while generating individual participation.
The video contest “Virtual San Fermin 2020,” will be part of the club’s events during its virtual San Fermin celebration.
From anywhere in the world
Anyone wishing to participate in the contest should record a video, no longer than 45 seconds. It can be done by an individual or by a group and should include a poster that says “Denak Bat Mendoza. 2020ko San Ferminak” (that can be downloaded on the club’s Facebook Page, @centrovascomendoza, or printed out). All participants must adhere to the following rules.
Videos should be shared via WhatsApp at +54 9 261 2120317 and can be sent up until Tuesday, July 14th. Videos received in time will be published on July 15th on the club’s new YouTube channel, associated with the account centrovascomendoza@gmail.com. There the public can vote on their favorites with a “like.” The winner will be announced on Sunday, July 19th.
The prize? A true San Fermin basket full of typical Basque cold cuts including 2 kilos of txistorra, 3 txorizos, 500 grams of pork shoulder, and 2 bottles of wine. It will also include pamphlets and recipe suggestions for the basket’s contests and merchandise.
