The Mayor of Chascomus in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires, welcomed yesterday a delegation from the Zingirako Euskaldunak Basque club. The club is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, for which it is preparing several initiatives that involved the whole community. Representing the Basque club were Juan Ignacio Cazaux, Gustavo Armendáriz and Ana María Sallenave.

According to the local newspaper El Fuerte Diario, the local Mayor, Javier Gaston, accompanied by the sub-secretary of Security, Santiago Muscarello, had a meeting yesterday morning with members of the board of directors of the Chascomus Basque club to diagram the club’s 25th anniversary festivities.
During the meeting, Juan Ignacio Cazaux, Gustavo Armendáriz and Ana María Sallenave, club representatives updated the Mayor on the various proposals and events scheduled for the celebration
Among those activities, during the month of September, there will be traditional dancing, and a dantzari parade through the streets of downtown, accompanied by musical instruments, for all to enjoy.
