The Official Bulletin of the Basque Country (BOPV-EHAA) published the list of participants selected to participate in Gaztemundu 2017 in today’s edition. This year’s program is dedicated to musicians and Basque music and instruments. Of the 15 people chosen, there are six girls and nine boys; twelve from Basque clubs in Argentina, two from Chile and one from Uruguay.
Vitoria-Gasteiz. Basque music and instruments is the topic of this year’s Gaztemundu program aimed at youth between the ages of 18-35 who are members of Basque Government recognized Basque clubs. The 15 individuals chosen will participate in the program that will run September 2-17, 2017, and will be instructed on instruments and Basque music and their relation to dance.
The instruments played by this year’s participants include: txistu, alboka, pandero, txalaparta and trikitixa.
