Lima, Peru. Beginning tomorrow, August 9th, through Saturday the 17th the 23rd edition of the Lima Film Festival will take place providing the public more than 100 films from Latin America and the entire world. As part fo the festival there will also be a traveling exhibition, that just like in 2018, will include more than 80 sites including the Lima Euskal Etxea. The Basque club selected three “self-improvement” films. After each screening, there will be a debate as well as refreshments.
According to Izaro Higon Arcoiza, Lima Basque club reference in charge of this event’s organization, “This is a very important activity for the club, so that people get to know us, especially since admission is free and going to the cinema is expensive here In big cities like Lima, there is a need for places to gather with friends and we think that these screenings can served that purpose.”
The film Schedule is the following:
-Saturday, August 10th, 11am, “Rodar contra todo”(Roll Against Everything) (Peru, 2015) by Marianela Vega
-Wednesday, August 14th, 19:30hs, “Almanya, Bienvenidos a Alemania” (Almanya, Welcome to Germany) (Germany, 2011), by Yasemin Samdereli
