Paris, France. The Pariseko Euskal Etxea has had a library for years specialized in Basque topics and works in Euskera that are available to the public. They total 2, 250 titles, of which 1,400 are books in Euskera, 240 in French, 300 in Spanish, and 310 in other languages. Genres range from novels to poetry, theater to essays, including books on history or children’s literature. The catalog can be accessed online from the club’s website here. The library can be visited every Saturday afternoon from 4-6pm, although it is recommended to confirm hours or make an appointment by calling: +33 (0)1 40 10 11 11.
You have to have your membership card to use the library; otherwise, you can pay a deposit of 40 Euros. In the case of members, the membership card also allows access to the eLiburutegia, Euskadi’s digital library.
The Library at the Euskal Etxea of Paris is located at the Basque club facilities on 59 Avenue Gabriel Péry, 93400 Saint-Ouen (near the Garibaldi metro stop).
