Since Easter Sunday, through mid-April, Basque clubs in Argentina continue to celebrate the Day of the Basque Homeland. In the case of the Iparraldeko Euskal Etxea, they will do so today, Wednesday, March 30 at 7:30pm with a talk by Dr. Maria Elena Etcheverry de Irujo Ollo. Along with this invitation, the centuries-old Basque club would also like you participate in its April and May activities.
Buenos Aires, Argentina. As several Argentine Basque clubs have done, as well as others around the world, the Iparraldeko Euskal Etxea has also joined in the Aberri Eguna celebration today with a talk. Organized by the club’s sub-committee of culture, the talk about the Day of the Basque Homeland will be delivered by Dr. Maria Elena Etcheverry, president of Eusko Kultur Etxea-Eusketxe in Buenos Aires.
After the talk, the hosts will hold a toast for Euskal Herria. The event will begin at 7:30pm at Moreno 1370, in the Montserrat neighborhood.
Anniversary, Gernika, Buenos Aires Celebrates…
Activities will continue over the coming weeks, with the club’s General assembly to take place on April 14 at 7pm. The club’s 121st anniversary celebration will be held on April 19. At the same event, they will also commemorate the 68th anniversary of the Proclamation of Mikel Garikotz as the club’s Patron Saint.

The program of activities will continue on April 26 with the commemoration of the Bombing of Gernika
In regards to May’s calendar, during the entire month, from Monday-Thursday from 7-8pm, club member, Juan Piterbarg will teach Mus. The event is open to the public and you can enroll at the office. Also in May, Saturday 7, members of the subcommittee of culture will represent Iparralde at the “Buenos Aires Celebrates the Basque Country,” on Saturday the 14, by recreating the town and lake in Senpere to celebrate Herri Urrats, the traditional fundraiser for Ikastolas in Iparralde at the facilities on Moreno Street.
