Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Iparraldeko Euskal Etxea in Buenos Aires celebrates its 124th Anniversary with another edition of its International Narrative Contest. The aim is to “support the Basque culture and provide a space for opportunities,” The basis of submissions this year will be “They told me about the Basques” (suggested titles would differ from this) and the deadline to submit works is August 31st. The contest results will be announced on September 14th and the award ceremony will be on the 28th of that month at the clubhouse (Moreno 1370, CABA). The jury is comprised of literary and cultural personalities: historian Mikel Ezkerro; Rosa Misciagna, French translator; and engineer Carlos Bordagaray. The first three places will receive a medal and the top ten special mentions will receive a certificate.
This event is organized by the sub-commission of Culture at the Iparraldeko Euskal Etxea that also organizes many other culture activities like talks on various aspects of Euskal Herria and the celebration of the main holidays in Iparralde.
