The Euskal Etxea in Tres Arroyos took a break from its regular activities to celebrate its 16th birthday.  The dinner was very well attended and gathered a hundred people.  Now, dancers and members of Hiru Erreka are getting ready for a full November with a workshop by Patxi Perez, the trip to Necochea's Semana Vasca and a cultural event they have been organizin at the end of the months, including a talk by Cesar Arrondo.

Tres Arroyos, Argentina.   On October 14th, the Hiru Erreka Basque Club in Tres Arroyos, in the province of Buenos Aires, dressed up to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the club.  In a great ambience of comradery, a large number of members, family members and friends of the club shared dinner and enjoyed a dance performance by club’s txikis and intermediate dantzaris.

There were also raffles, a bota contest, music and Euskera, as well as videos with Greetings.  When it was time for the toast, a birthday cake in the shape of an ikurriña was served.

Visit of Patxi Perez and trip to Semana Vasca

The anniversary festivities at the Euskal Etxea was a lead-in to very busy weeks.  On November 8-9 Patxi Perez and his musicians will arrive in Tres Arroyos to teach a dance workshop to the txikis from the ages of 3-7, as well as to intermediates between the ages of 8-14, along with a concert on Tuesday.  Hiru Erreka invites everyone interested in enjoying the concert to join them for dinner at the clubhouse provided to visitors.  (Tickets must be purchased in advance.  For more information email).

Continuing the program the Hiru Erreka dancers will travel to Semana Nacional Vasca in Necochea November 11-13. On Saturday, November 26th the club will host a cultural event with the participation of Cesar Arrondo that will include a number of surprises related to the club and the local community.

Finally, members, friends, and students at Hiru Erreka, will celebrate the International Day of Euskera with children’s games, thanks to teacher, Alfredo Laborde.  There will also be an end of the year dinner TBD.
