During the last few months the Gure Txoko Basque club in Valladolid has been picking up speed, little by little, and the fruits of their many years of work are now coming to light. One example is the Basque classes at the club, supported by the very dedicated professor Sonia Hernandez. The latest course to be offered--that began on Friday--is BOGA online. This new offering has been added to the Basque classes for adults as well as for a group of children that are already having success at Gure Txoko.

Valladolid, Spain. Last Friday the Gure Txoko Basque club in Valladolid was visited by HABE technician Kinku Zinkunegi in order to officially start the online BOGA class. After an informative meeting on the various aspects of this method, the course was implemented and since then has been open for enrollment.

The Basque club in Valladolid has had a large number of requests, for some time, from members and friends who wanted to learn Euskera through an online course. The club already provides face-to-face courses thanks to Professor Sonia Hernandez, but now it will also provide this new opportunity.

“Our goal is to assist all the people in Castilla-Leon who want to study Basque but who can’t attend classes in person, for whatever reason,” Jokin Oncalada, club secretary, explained to EuskalKultura.com.
