The initial agreement was put in place several years ago, but according to the recent renewal both institutions have included new objectives in the agreement including that the Euskal Etxea will be the site of workshops organized by the University and that parallel, the University will open its doors to the club’s cultural activities. In other business, Gure Ametza also anticipates the inauguration of a replica of Picasso’s “Guernica” by the end of October at its clubhouse.

As Sergio Eguiazu, reference of the Basque club explained, the initial agreement of cooperation was broadened to “pool efforts and firm up actions that both the club and the university have in common aimed at community development in the areas of influence of the two institutions. This means that Gure Ametza’s clubhouse will now be the site of activities hosted by the university aimed at the community including courses, or administrative management workshops,” he told EuskalKultura.com.

Remodeling the clubhouse
The clubhouse in Rio Cuarto will celebrate 23 years this year, and will mark this anniversary by beginning remodeling and improvements to its headquarters. The work will especially take place in the entrance of the building, where the door is being changed and the front will be decorated with Ikurriñas. In the coming days, in the entrance hall a reproduction of Picasso’s “Guernica” will also be installed.
