Chacabuco, Argentina. This Euskal Etxea in Chacabuco, in the province of Buenos Aires, celebrated its third decade of spreading the Basque culture in the city and region with an anniversary that was declared of Provincial Legislative Interest, from a proposal from Deputy Mauricio Barrientos. The local mayor, Victor Ajola, also came to the clubhouse to congratulate the Basque community, at he celebration on June 20th that gathered some 160 guests.
The lunch menu consisted of pintxos and “callos a la vizcaína,” prepared by the club’s women, with the collaboration of the muslaris and dantzaris. The dance group, in charge of entertainment, also performed after lunch.
Representatives from Basque clubs in Chivilcoy and Pergamino were also in attendance. In the case of Carlos Miguelena, reference from the Lagun Onak Basque Club in Pergamino, he also relayed the congratulations on behalf of FEVA (festivity photos here).
