Iñigo Ruiz de Gordejuela, from Gazteiz, is studying music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he has created, along with other students, a group with a Basque name and inspiration: Amalur. The group has published a video online of its version of the popular Basque classic “Aldapeko Sagarraren,” transformed in a clear jazz version. Do you want to hear it?
Boston, Massachusetts. The pianist from Gasteiz, Iñigo Ruiz de Gordejuela lives in Boston where he is doing a masters in musical interpretation at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Interested in the world of improvisation and jazz, Ruiz de Gordejuela created the group Amalur in 2014, with other students. Last Christmas the group published its first record and presented it at the Durangoko Azoka, the Basque book and music fair in Durango, Bizkaia.
