Villa Maria, Argentina. The exchange program at the Basque Club in Villa Maria will take place July 7-22nd. The individuals from the Basque Country chosen to participate in this edition of “Anima Zaitez,” are Nerea Aretxabaleta Aramendi, from Markina-Xemein, Bizkaia; Beñat Aizpurua Vázquez, from Irun, Gipuzkoa; Oihane Ardanaz Garasa, from Iruñea-Pamplona. Nafarroa; and Gorka Etxeandia, from Vitoria-Gasteiz. Just a few weeks left before the event starts and the expectations and the enthusiasm for this new edition of “Anima Zaitez,” are a characteristic shared by participants on both sides of the Atlantic.
In regards to the experience of each of the chosen youth, Nerea Aretxabaleta is a dantzari and txistulari; Beñat Aizpurua will teach Herri Kirolak (pilota) and Euskera; Oihane Ardanaz with teach music (triki and pandero) and Euskera; and Gorka will also teach dance, Euskera as well as pandero.
During two weeks, these youth from the Basque Country will be in charge of workshops in various disciplines for members of the Basque club and community.
