La Plata, Argentina. The local Basque club has launched a survey for its members in hopes of finding out information on how they are doing during this period of social isolation, that is both preventative and obligatory that hast taken a step backwards over the last few days, and have returned the city in the province of Buenos Aires back to a stricter phase. Many Basque clubs around the world have kept in touch with their members during the pandemic in different ways trying to determine how they are doing, as well as come up with different strategies to better serve them.
In the case of La Plata a brief survey that only takes two minutes, aims to find out if members live alone, and if so, if they have anyone to help them, or if they have had to get out in order to take care of something that couldn’t wait. They also want to find out if they have been affected economically, or if they are able to help others. All this in hopes to find out what resources the institution and its members have, in order to determine how the club can help its members and viceversa.
The survey was sent to 700 members and even if there is no deadline to respond, they would appreciate “answers sooner than later in order to make a plan and come up with strategies in order to help club members if possible,” club sources said.
The survey is a Google doc sent to each member. If you did not receive it, please email the club here secretaria@cvascolaplata.org.ar or send a message via WhatsApp +54 221 615-2824.
The idea and tools can be useful and replicated by other Basque clubs in Argentina as well as in other parts of the world.
